Young female choirs draw vocalists from the Mid-Atlantic region

The Sister Cities Girlchoir, which includes some South Philly singers, was recently recognized by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

“Our goal here is to empower girls to recognize their own leadership abilities and ability to transform the world,” Lee said. “At Sister Cities Girlchoir, we believe in the power of young women to be transformative in our world.
